That's the last update for a little bit, my friends! I'm getting surgery soon and I think it'll be a bit before I'll be back to drawing. I'm hoping to get back into it in August though! Thank for you for all your patience with me this year as I figure out how to balance my time.
Panel 1 [Ezra breathlessly reaches the top of a grassy hill, the town and ocean visible down below. Josué has already flopped down in the grass.
EZRA:
Not the kind of climbin’ I'm used to.
Panel 2 [Shot from behind them, showing the stretch of the town below. Josué gestures to it]
JOSUÉ:
Beautiful though, yes?
EZRA:
Yes.
JOSÚE:
And only here for some hours. So sad, so sad.
Panel 3 [Josué lays back in the grass with his arms behind his head]
JOSUÉ:
When I was on that goddamn cow farm I couldn’t get away fast enough.
Panel 4 [Ezra looks over at Josue with a slightly sad expression while Josué continues talking nonchalantly, eyes closed and head tilted up at the sky]
JOSUÉ:
But now…I'd sooner let that ship sail without me, if I could.
EZRA:
Really?
JOSÚE:
Why so surprised?

Two hours off…half an hour climbing the hill, half an hour going back down again…most of the sailors I knew would already have found Mamacita’s Putaemporium and be on their way out, giving the Dr something to cure later 😉
