$400? An insult. I could find someone who would pay $1000, if you give me 40%.

 JOSUÉ:
A hostage situation turned business partnership, what a curious turn!

JOSIAH:
Mary Anne, no!

Panel 2 [Lawrence watches the play from the bulwarks, smiling with his journal in hand. Adelaide is leaning against the railing beside him. She looks over at Lawrence.]

ADELAIDE:
So the doctor is a playwright too.
LAWRENCE:
Perhaps we’ll soon have our own literary salon aboard.

Panel 3 [Adelaide looks amused, and Lawrence is laughing slightly]

ADELAIDE:
I will say, I’m bit disappointed I wasn’t cast as Mary Anne.

LAWRENCE:
Hah—I apologize. I didn’t want to impose a role on you.

But I’ll keep that in mind for the next production. For when we tour it around the country, you see.
