And I’m glad to be here, especially now that we’re in this beautiful place. I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere so lovely.

Panel 2 [The pair of them wander down to the beach. Adelaide looks over her shoulder at Barzillai.]

ADELAIDE:
Pity it’s only for a short time.

BARZILLAI:
There’s a reason I didn’t let the others disembark. Faial is a siren. Many would find it a good place to make a home rather than face down more years at sea.

Panel 4 [Adelaide pauses, laughing and kneeling down in the sand, pulling Barzillai’s arm to join her.]

ADELAIDE:
Come, watch the sunset with me. The sea looks lovelier when you view it from land.
